Doug McConnaughey, M.D. – Concierge Internist
Doug McConnaughey attended the UC Davis School of Medicine where he graduated with honors in the top five percent of his class and he received his Internal Medicine training at the University of Washington. Since then, he has become one of the most highly sought after Primary Care physicians in Orange County with 26 years of experience at Edinger Medical Group.
Doug believes in evidence-based care, relying on the best available scientific evidence to guide treatment decision and ensure that care is effective is safe. He is passionate about building lifelong relationships with his patients and he has a wide range of expertise, including Men’s Health, Sports Medicine and weight loss.

When can I access my doctor?
The Enhance direct line 714-988-4209 will connect you with a live Membership Ambassador during regular business hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (holidays may differ).
In addition, an after-hours line to Dr. McConnaughey will also be available for emergencies when the office is closed (evenings, weekends and holidays).
What if I need care after hours?
You can contact Dr. McConnaughey using the after-hours line for emergencies, or you may visit a Hoag Urgent Care facility. Click here to find a location near you.
Where are your offices located?
Dr. McConnaughey’s Concierge Medicine Program runs primarily out of Newport Beach. However, Edinger Medical Group also has offices in Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley.

Can I visit any hospital or specialist?
Because we only accept patients with Commercial PPO health plans, you may visit any hospital or specialist of your choosing. Your doctor will make a recommendation for a specialist, if needed.
